IPC certification trail — the screen inside ArgAssure

On a contractor's desk. A reduced certificate with no explanation is the most corrosive document in a project relationship. When every deduction shows its basis — recovery, retention, NCR hold, LD — the conversation is about the clause rather than about trust.

What it holds

Gross to net, computed

Work value, variations, escalation, advance recovery, retention, statutory deductions and holds — each a line with its authority, arriving at a net nobody typed.

Integer-rupee ledger, append-only

Money is held in whole rupees, in a ledger that accepts inserts and refuses updates. Corrections ride the next certificate; history is never quietly adjusted.

Four-eyes and period locks

The person who raises cannot certify. Once a period is locked, nothing inside it moves — the closed month stays closed.

Certificate to transmittal to portal

The certified IPC issues as a document, travels on a transmittal, and appears in the client and contractor portals — one artefact, one reference, no parallel PDF in circulation.

The flow

  1. 01RA bill submitted from measured quantities.
  2. 02Deductions applied by rule; holds picked up from open NCRs.
  3. 03Certified by a different authorised user; reference minted.
  4. 04Issued, hashed, transmitted; the ledger entry is final.

What it will not allow

  • Certifying your own submission
  • A free-text amount with no basis
  • Editing a certificate after issue
