The Design Office
Design management
The single register of every drawing the practice has issued, at the revision it was issued, with the suitability it was issued for. If it is not on the register, it was not issued.

In a practice. Most offices keep drawings in folders and issue them by email, so the answer to "which revision did the contractor build from?" lives in someone’s sent items. The register makes that answer a lookup — and makes the superseded revision impossible to mistake for the current one.
What it holds
Sheet register with revision lineage
Drawing number, title, discipline, scale, design stage, author, checker, current revision — and every prior revision beneath it in an append-only log. The pointer moves; the history never does.
ISO-19650 suitability codes
S0 work-in-progress through S4 shared-for-construction, then AGFC, IFC and GFC. A sheet cannot jump to construction issue without passing the review that authorises it, and the code shown on the register is the code on the title block.
Discipline coordination view
Architecture, structure, MEP, façade and landscape side by side at the same stage, so the coordination gap shows as a missing sheet rather than as a surprise on site.
Issue and transmittal record
Who received which revision, when, under which transmittal reference, and whether they acknowledged. The evidence a delay claim turns on, captured at the moment of issue.
The flow
- 01Sheet created on the register at S0, against a design stage and a deliverable requirement.
- 02Internal check recorded; reviewer named; comments graded by severity.
- 03Suitability raised on approval; the revision freezes at that instant.
- 04Transmitted to consultants, client and contractor; acknowledgement logged.
- 05A change opens a new revision — the issued one is superseded, never edited.
What it will not allow
- Editing a revision after issue
- Construction suitability without a recorded approval
- A transmittal that names no recipient or no revision
